It’s a little twist of serendipity that the announcement I’m about to make falls into our Animal Advocacy edition. This will be my last issue with the Gazette—I’ve resigned from my position as Editor to embark on a new adventure, heading down to Maryland to join The Humane Society of the United States as their new web marketing specialist. I’ve been a long-time supporter of their dedicated and honorable work and I’m thrilled to be joining their team. If you’ve ever donated to their organization or looked to them for pet advice, keep an eye on some big changes coming to their website [www.humanesociety.org] soon, because that’s where I’ll be.
I’m happy to welcome back Kathy Marsh to our newspaper team. Kathy is a Gazette vet, serving as a sales rep for a couple years prior to moving on in early 2011. She returns now to serve our division as Associate Publisher of the Town & Country Gazette. You can reach her directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and continue to send all your editorial and advertising needs to email@example.com.
Whether we worked together on your advertisements or I wrote about you for a Blue Mountain’s Best feature, if you liked reading Animals Gone Viral or Pajamas Over People, it’s been a pleasure serving this community for the past three years. And to the people I worked with every single day, the ones who made even the unpleasant aspects of the job worth coming in for, thank you for the support, the camaraderie, and the laughs—I’ll miss you all.
