Home Recycled Home: Wine Cork Wreath

HRH

HRHWith the holidays right around the corner, this fun and festive wine cork wreath will help you find your Christmas spirit. While some wine cork wreaths out there require months of planning and preparation (and a lot of drinking), this one can be done with far fewer corks. If you don’t have enough corks lying around, gather some friends for a fun night in with a few bottles of wine!

What you will need:

  • 20 clean, dry wine corks
  • 20 bells or small Christmas ornaments
  • Ribbon
  • Drill
  • Hot glue gun

Step 1: Carefully drill holes through each of the corks near both ends.

Step 2: Arrange your corks and bells in an alternating pattern.

Step 3: Using the craft wire, strand the corks and bells together. Keep the wire long enough to reach through each one. Then secure the corks together on the other end with a second piece of wire. The wire can be secured to itself by twisting it together.

Step 4: You may use hot glue to reinforce the bells and the corks. This may also help your bells from moving around.

Step 5: Attach the ribbon to the wreath through one of the bells to make hanging a cinch.

You can easily adjust the size of your wreath by adding more or less corks! Using multi-colored bells and a variety of wine corks, your wreath is sure to be a one-of-a-kind crowd pleaser. You can also add an extra splash of holiday cheer by sprinkling some festive glitter on the corks.
