The Lynn-Heidelberg Historical Society will be hosting a Pioneer Day with local entertainment all day and family fun including hay rides, horseback rides, and crafts on Saturday, October 4 from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Ontelaunee Park.
Antique and classic autos and farm equipment will be on display. There will be guided historical tours of Ontelaunee Park and Pioneer Village: Look inside Fort Everett, Zeisloff Log Cabin, and the PA Dutch Bank Barn. There will also be pioneer demonstrations: Blacksmith, spinning, pottery, copper, 18th century broom-making, and Medicine Man.
There will be a PA Dutch Silent Auction. Take a chance at winning a great basket from local businesses with proceeds benefiting the Lynn-Heidelberg Historical Society.
An assortment of great food, including pioneer-style sausage stew, apple butter, fresh-cut French fries, ice cream, cakes, hot dogs, barbeque, baked goods, apple dumplings, and more PA Dutch favorites will be available.
